After finishing my final exam for my master's degree in May 2024, my advisor, who has been such a great support during my dissertation, asked me to take his place at an international workshop in Shilong since he was swamped with university work. I was thrilled to have this chance for a subsidized educational trip! At the workshop, I met so many amazing and friendly people, especially Tyrell from Germany, who had some really cool ideas, and Sagar da from Manipur, India, who was just as inspiring. We hit it off and ended up discussing various projects together. I’m also excited to be collaborating with Dr. Debarshi from my department at Visva-Bharati. This whole experience has been a fantastic adventure, and I can’t wait to see where these new connections will lead!
I am currently engaged in several significant academic endeavors, including an international report focused on the climate vulnerability assessment of fish species in North-East India, a book chapter addressing the implications of microbial nanoparticles in ovarian cancer, and a research journal article examining the effects of antidepressants on pregnant women. I will provide access to these papers once they are finalized. The demands of this workload have rendered me quite occupied, and I am also in the midst of the PhD application process. Unfortunately, the institutions are disseminating their application forms and guidelines in a rather convoluted manner. Once I successfully navigate this phase, I intend to establish a YouTube channel to document my experiences and offer guidance to fellow students who may encounter similar challenges in the future.
